Rooster Rock is one of the most popular sites in the Gorge. It is one of the best places to sail in fall or spring when the wind is out of the east. Summer west winds do not apply here. The east winds, combined with the established east flowing current create a very strong current when the winds are up. This is a good flat water spot, as well as some bump and jump. Like all places in the Gorge, when the season is on sailors are not likely to rig much below 5.5 at all.
